A clash between two groups of prisoners in Jaffna prison resulted in one inmate being injured and subsequently admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital yesterday (25).
According to reports, the conflict arose between two groups of prisoners, leading to a physical altercation. It is mentioned that the dispute escalated, and during the confrontation, one prisoner sustained injuries.
In the aftermath of the incident, three prisoners were involved, and one of them was the victim of the clash. The injured prisoner was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
The prison authorities in Jaffna are said to be investigating the incident.
