The current President Ranil Wickramasinghe has visited former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at his official residence on last Monday (12).
Political sources said that the duo have had a discussion about an hour. According yo these sources they have discussed about the current situation and some matters.
However, political sources also reveal that the origin of this journey may be because a large number of political leaders, religious leaders and trade union activists are going to meet the former president.
The sources also say that former President’s diary is so full that he cannot set aside a date to meet the former president.
It is also reported that the former president went to the Gangarama temple the previous evening and performed religious rites.
At the same time, President Ranil Wickremesinghe met former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and held a special discussion yesterday.
