The circular on the retirement age of government officials has been issued by the government. According to the circular, the specified retirement age is 60.

The circular made no specific mention of medical, nursing, or engineering services that could be rendered after the age of 60.

But the circular has a reference regarding extension beyond the compulsory retirement age of 60 for personnel involved in specialist services.

Accordingly, the Public Administration Circular 02/2022 issued on January 1, 2022, will be nullified on December 31, 2022.

The officers who are currently serving beyond the age of 60 years and who will complete 60 on or before 31.12.2022 have been given the opportunity to retire on or before 31.12.2022 as per their wish.
