President instructs dairy companies to eliminate long queues for powdered milk

The President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed to the local milk powder manufacturers to to make arrangements people to purchase their milk products without staying in long queues ,Senior DIG Deshabandu Thennakoon said to the media.

Making a special statement to the media, the Senior DIG said,

“Yesterday, the Hon. President spoke to the management of the Pelawatta Milk Powder Dairies management and instructed to the police to work out an easier methodology for the people who have to wait in long queues. “

“Accordingly, we talked to the head of the company, Mr. Ariyasheela Wickremanayake, and devised a system to make it easier for the public to buy milk powder and other items without having to wait in queues.”

“Accordingly, the public will be able to purchase milk powder from several locations in the Nugegoda area, near the Ananda Samarakoon Theater, in the Pita Kotte area, near the Kotte Municipal Council tomorrow, with the convenience of purchasing goods without any hassle.”
