The Vavuniya police raided a lodge run by a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police in Vavuniya and arrested four women who were engaged in prostitution along with another man who was the manager of the lodge, yesterday (05).
The police arrested this group upon receiving information from the local residents about the group of women engaging in prostitution.
The four arrested women are aged between 22 and 33 years.
The arrested group have been taken to the Vavniya General hospital for medical examination.
The Vavniya police has taken action to produce them to the court.
