Kattankudy Police in Batticaloa is investigating an incident in which a fifteen-year-old girl was forcibly dragged to a deserted house and gang-raped by 03 assailants while she was walking on the road.
The Katthankudi police state that a 15-year-old girl residing on the Karambala road in Katthankudi was raped yesterday (07) night.
The three individuals who are suspected to have gang-raped the girl are aged twenty-four, twenty-five and twenty-six years old residing in Katthankudi area, the police said.
The police say that the girl has been admitted to Batticaloa Hospital.
According to the complaint made by the girl’s parents to the Kattankudiya police, the suspects were arrested today evening (08) and presented to the Batticaloa Magistrate’s Court for an identification parade.
The Child and Women’s Bureau of Kattankudiya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
