Podu Jana Peramuna’s national organizer, Basil Rajapaksa, has announced plans to send a youth delegation to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in India to study the campaign strategies of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP.
Rajapaksa made this decision during a recent discussion with the party leaders at the Nelum Mawatha party headquarters, focusing on upcoming events like the May Day and election campaigns.
Additionally, plans have been made to rent two more houses in Nelum Mawatha to facilitate future organizational activities of the party.
These decisions come following discussions between Rajapaksa and the President, who has assured that there will be no postponement of the elections. Addressing concerns in society regarding potential delays due to changes in the election system, there has been a call to conduct the elections using the previous system.
