All measures have been taken to provide special security for the members of the Parliament who will come to Parliament on Wednesday, the 20th for the selection of a new President security sources said
All MPs are expected to come from out station to cast their votes for the election of the new President have been advised to come to Colombo on the day or days before 20th .
According to the sources Ministry of Public Security has given instructions to Police to take measures to provide necessary security the members of Parliament following a proper assessment on threats they are posing.
At present, most of the MPs are living an incognito life and many of them have abandoned the usual vehicles they travel in and have focused on traveling in old vehicles or similar vehicles so as not to be recognized by the public.
These security sources stated that a situation has been created all over the country where members of the papers who are connected to the government and who were connected to the government are living incognito and do not participate in public affairs except when it is necessary.
