A man was seriously injured in a shooting that took place in front of the DIG’s office in Colombo Fort this morning.
Another is being treated at the Colombo National Hospital with serious injuries.
The shooting had targeted three persons who were about to board a bus at the bus stand in front of the Senior DIG’s office, police said.
The two assailants on a motorcycle had fired at the suspect with a T-56 assault rifle and fled, police said.
The incident is being investigated.
