Sri Lanka Association of Medical Specialists salutes to the lady doctor who worked bravely at the Moratuwa Medical Officer of Health’s office yesterday (27) for showing the country how the vaccination program, which had earned a worldwide reputation for successful vaccinations, has now fallen into the hands of political thugs.
The Association of Medical Specialists has issued a statement urging the government to take action at the last moment to free the country’s vaccination rollout from the politicization and clutches of certain powerful trade unions. The vaccination program launched to save the people from the Covid epidemic is now in a state of disarray and has become a movement led by politicians and powerful trade unions, rather than a scientific vaccination program.
