The discussion between the Prime Minister and the teacher-principal trade union representatives scheduled for tomorrow (10) has been canceled.
The Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Stalin also expressed his views in this regard at a media briefing held today.
“Earlier it was informed that there would be a discussion with the Prime Minister at 11 am tomorrow and it has been informed that it will not take place tomorrow.
Then 91 days will be completed for the teacher-principal trade union struggle. The government is currently working to prepare all parties for the commencement of schools. But nothing is being done about the issue of teachers and principals. “
