The Maligakanda court has issued an order today (20) to remand the director, accountant, assistant director, and pharmacist of the government medical supply department arrested in connection with the Immunoglobulin drug fraud.
The arrested individuals include:
Dr. Kapila Wickramanayake – Director of Medical Supply Division
Devasantha Solomon – Assistant Director
Neran Dhananjaya – Accountant (Supply)
Sujith Kumara – Pharmacist and Stock Controller
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) took the four officers into custody and presented them before Maligakanda Magistrate Lochana Abeywickrama this afternoon. The court, after considering the evidence and circumstances, ordered them to be remanded.
