Maithree meets with the opposition Leader and agrees on a national reforms programme

Former President Maithripala Sirisena has said that the Sri Lanka Freedom Party will give its unstinted cooperation for the success of the “National Reforms and Progress” programme devised by the Samagi Janabala Wegaya.

Maithripala Sirisena said this at a discussion held with Sajith Premadasa at the office of the opposition leader yesterday. A group of activists from civil organizations also joined this event.

Maithripala Sirisena has pointed out the necessity of a constitutional reform programme o build a strong Sri Lanka,

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has stated that to get out of the current socio-economic and political crises, all political parties must go for political reforms acceptable to all.

Sajith Premadasa has further said that the country can be re-built with social reforms and stressed the need to listen to everyone’s opinion. For that, he will listen to the proposals and ideas of the progressive parties.

The leaders of the Samagi Jana Balavega, the leaders of its affiliated parties, Victor Ivan, Gamini Viangoda, KW Janaranjana, Rohan Samarajeeva and others have participated in this event.
