Former captain of the Sri Lanka Cricket team Mahela Jayawardene has been appointed as a Director of Janashakthi Insurance PLC. The company announces that the appointment will effect from yesterday (July 5).
Jayawardene, who captained the Sri Lankan national cricket team, is currently the President of the National Sports Council. Mr Jayawardena and four other directors have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Janashakthi Insurance with effect from July 5, 2021.
Accordingly, Dinesh Schaffter, Varini de Costa and Anika Senanayake and Ravi Liyanage (Executive Director / CEO) represent Janashakthi on the Board of Directors.
