Sellaiya Thiruchelvam, a fifty-nine-year-old resident of Thenmarachchi Mattuvil area in Jaffna, has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new world record.
Using only his beard as leverage, Thiruchelvam successfully pulled a vehicle weighing 1550 kg for a distance of 400 meters in an impressive time of 7 minutes and 48 seconds.
Thiruchelvam has been showcasing his unique talent of pulling vehicles with his beard during temple festivals in Jaffna. Following his announcement to the media about his intention to set a world record, he accomplished this remarkable feat in front of a large audience in the Mattuvil area of Jaffna.
In recognition of his extraordinary achievement, Sellaiya Thiruchelvam was presented with a certificate acknowledging his world record for pulling a vehicle weighing 1550 kg over a distance of 400 meters in a remarkably short time using only his beard.
It is worth noting that Thiruchelvam’s daughter provided assistance during this impressive display of strength and determination.
