The United Fisheries Union of Jaffna staged a massive protest in front of the Gurunagar fishing harbor in Jaffna yesterday (26) and it will be continued further as the forced invasion of the North Sea by Indian fishermen increased.
It is planned to continue the campaign by dividing the fishermen into groups and launching black flags in front of the fishing boats to prevent all fishermen from going to sea in Jaffna.
Fishermen in Jaffna have stated that they have no concessions from the government or any other party even though Indian fishermen have forcibly plundered the marine resources belonging to fishermen in the North.
