President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has taken steps to appoint a special presidential task force to establish one country, one law. An Extraordinary Gazette Notification was issued yesterday (26) regarding this Special Task Force headed by Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero.
The President has authorized this Special Presidential Task Force to draft a proper draft to establish one country , one law. Also The President has tasked the committee to consider the amendments and draft already made by the Ministry of Justice and inclusion of them to new draft.
Mrs. Jeewanthi Senanayake, Assistant Secretary to the President has been appointed as the Secretary of the Task Force. Mohamed, Professor Dayananda Banda, Professor Shanthinandana Wijesinghe, Professor Sumedha Siriwardena, Mr. N.G Sujeewa Panditharathne, Attorney At Law Iresh Seneviratne, Attorney At Law Sanjaya Marmbe, Pani Wewala, Moulavi Mohommed, Lecturer Mohamed Intikab, Kalin Rahuman,Aziz Nizardeen are other appointed members of the task force.
