A doctor at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital has been implicated in a scandal after installing a camera system in his house’s bathroom to record inappropriate footage. His wife discovered the hidden cameras, leading to a series of dramatic events, including the doctor’s expulsion from their home and impending divorce proceedings.
The doctor’s wife, suspicious of her husband’s behaviour for some time, had been monitoring him closely. Her suspicions were confirmed when she called a plumber to fix a fault in the bathroom plumbing. The technician discovered two hidden cameras in the pipes and informed her.

Confronted by his wife, the doctor denied any knowledge of the cameras. However, upon examining his mobile phone, she found numerous recordings of nude scenes involving her sister and a young doctor. Enraged, she beat her husband and expelled him from their home.
The wife immediately sought legal advice and began divorce proceedings. She also confronted the friend who had sheltered her husband, revealing his actions and demanding he be expelled as well.
According to reports, the doctor has taken leave from the hospital and fled the Jaffna area.
