Importers of essential food items have announced a reduction in the prices of key commodities, including white sugar, dhal, and wheat flour.
According to reports, the wholesale price of white sugar has been slashed from 300 to 265 rupees per kilogram, while wheat flour prices have dropped from 190 to 175 rupees per kilogram. Additionally, the price of dhal has decreased from 350 to 285 rupees per kilogram.
Importers have assured that they currently hold ample stocks of these essential food items, ensuring that consumers will not face any shortage during the upcoming festive season.
However, despite the reduction in wholesale prices, some supermarkets and retail stores have not adjusted their prices accordingly, leading to disparities in retail costs compared to wholesale rates.
