Upon receiving the request, the Sri Lankan government promptly conducted necessary assessments and pilot air trips between Chennai and Jaffna several times. It is anticipated that the company expects a positive outcome regarding this matter.
A representative of the airline company, has arrived in Sri Lanka for discussions regarding the facts surrounding this request. It has been confirmed that the permission for this service has been requested and awaits approval.
Currently, there is only one airline company providing aircraft services between Chennai and Jaffna. Should the new airline receive approval, it will bring additional options for travelers on this route.
