As the Prime Minister is not ready to step down with a dignity Sri Lanka Freedom Party too considers to go against the government at the no confidence motion brought by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya SLFP sources said. The crucial discussion between the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the group of independent members of the government has commenced yesterday sources further said.

However, during the discussion,former Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has left the. Citing his objection he has told those who were out of the meeting that since he has not seen a single piece of the no-confidence motion of the Samagi Janabalavega until yesterday.

There has been some internal controversy over support for the unseen no-confidence motion. Earlier General Secretary of the party Dayasiri Jayasekara had also raised this issue. He said an open discussion was needed if the opposition brought a no-confidence motion.

In our inquiry, an active youth leader of the Samagi Jana Balawewa explained that the point raised by Dayasiri Jayasekara was correct but that it was important for all political parties to come to a more flexible common solution in the face of the crisis that had arisen.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Samagi Jana Balawega Sajith Premadasa made a special statement yesterday stating that he would not accept any post under a government with any Rajapaksas.
