Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa who is in a dilemma over the loosing majority support from his MPS has started a campaign to remain in the position from the grass root level of SLPP internal political sources said today.
Accordingly plans are underway to pass a resolution saying that Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa should remain as the PM further at a special meeting to be held at Temple Trees today (26) with former grassroots representatives of Pohottu, including current active municipal councilors and pradeshiya sabhas. Sources further said that the meeting has arranged on the theme of discussing the country’s crisis.
It is reported that its purpose is to confirm the ground level opinion of the party and submit it to the party MPs and then complete 113 signatures.
