Hatton police officers successfully apprehended the husband of a woman accused of stealing the purse of the wife who had traveled from Bagwantala to Hatton to purchase items for the Diwali festival.
The incident unfolded when a woman, having boarded a private bus from Hatton to Bagwantlawa, realized her wallet was missing. Reporting the theft to police officers stationed at the Hatton bus station, an immediate investigation ensued.
The Hatton Police officers promptly checked all passengers on the bus, discovering the missing wallet in the possession of the woman’s husband. The recovered wallet was promptly returned to its rightful owner.
