President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a Tri member Board of Inquiry to look in to if there were any lapses by the forces or Intelligence Services during the landmark protest in front of the President’s private residence in Mirihana on March 31 and island-wide violence since May 9th.
Accordingly, former Navy Commander, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, former Air Force Commander Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Goonetileke and former Army Commander Daya Ratnayake have been appointed to the Board .
The Board of Inquiry has convened today and they are to hand over a report to the President .
