The Association of Health Professionals has received complaints regarding the death of a 23-year-old mother of one child, allegedly caused by severe allergic reactions to the medication Amoxiclav.
Despite the complaints, these concerns have been dismissed, prompting the Health Professionals Scholars Association to call for a formal clinical investigation into the matter.
Tragically, a young mother residing in Ja Ala North Batagama lost her life after falling ill following vaccination. An autopsy confirmed that her demise resulted from an allergic reaction to a vaccine administered to combat an infection.
The Health Professionals Scholars Association has expressed growing concerns over the escalating instances of patient harm due to substandard medications and the loss of lives attributed to certain clinical practices.
Many of these cases are reportedly being overlooked or treated as routine occurrences. In response, the association has urgently requested the Health Minister to appoint an independent committee to investigate public complaints promptly.
