Major General Suresh Saleh has been replaced with Deputy Inspector General Dhammika Priyantha as the head of the State Intelligence Service. Accordingly Maj.Gen Saleh is retiring from his service .
Many serious allegations related to the Easter attack have been leveled against the Chief of State Intelligence, Suresh Saleh, and to what extent it is ethical to hold him in that position and conduct investigations related to the Easter attack, the Catholic Church as well as the mass community demanding justice related to the Easter attack had questioned the existing governments.
New head of State Intelligence Service (SIS) DIG Priyantha joined the Police in 2001 as an Assistant Superintendent of Police .In 2015 he was appointed as Deputy Director of Financial Crime Investigations Division.
Priyantha is an old boy of Matugama C.W.W Kannangara Central College .Later he entered to Sri Jayawardenapura University .
