MP Harin Fernando and about 20 others have decided to leave the leadership of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and become independent party sources said.
MP Harin Fernando stating to Lankasara on his decision,said that he had taken this decision as the country would be ruined in every second of procrastination with the inflexible policies of the leadership.
“I do not know about the others. I am becoming independent. Because in this situation we can not waste another second. “
“We have been told to take responsibility now. Let’s reduce the powers of the President step by step in accordance with the Constitution. But there has been no response from the leader;s side. Given this situation, it is not possible to move forward. I am becoming independent. I believe others will take this path. ”
