A new circular has been issued to save fuel and electricity in the public service.
The circular has been issued by the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government.
Accordingly, it contains a number of instructions including stopping the extra fuel payments, deactivating the air conditioners of government institutions by 2.30 pm and minimizing the bringing of Outer Provincial Officers to Colombo for meetings.
