It is reported that several members of parliament have protested against non availablility of essential food items including milk in the canteen of the parliamentarians.
As a result, the tempered situaton was created in the restaurant (8).
According to the reporters they have been told by the officials of the Food Supply Division of Parliament that the suppliers had not supplied liquid milk to Parliament for nearly a month.
He further said that although Milco was kept informed, they did not provide adequate milk supply.
In addition, there is a shortage of some bottled beverages, according to the Parliamentary Catering Division.
Parliamentary officials point out that the supply of certain food items to Parliament has been hampered due to various issues including shortages.
