In Ambalanthota’s Koggalla Kadwara area, a tragic shooting incident occurred in the early hours of today (19), resulting in the death of a sixty-two-year-old man, identified as Amarakon Kankanamge Siripala. The deceased resided at No. 49 North Kadwara Koggalla Ambalantota.
According to the investigation department, three individuals entered the victim’s home around 3:00 AM and carried out the fatal shooting before fleeing the scene.
The victim was the father of Kadavara Ishara, a resident of Ambalantota Koggala Kadavara, who succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
Authorities believe that the shooting may have been motivated by a dispute over cattle theft involving individuals known as Kadwara Ishara.
The police have commenced investigations to apprehend the suspects responsible for this tragic incident.
