Another explosion related with domestic LP gas has taken place last night in a house in Imaduwa, Galle. A household woman has told to the reporters that blast has occur when she was switched off the gas stove after preparing their dinner last night.
Meanwhile the report on gas leaks and explosions prepared by the expert committee of the University of Moratuwa is to be submitted to the Consumer Affairs Authority today (01) .
Prof. Shantha Walpolage of the University of Moratuwa told the media that the report contains the composition of 12 gas samples taken from several parts of the country and his views in this regard.
A meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Trade will be held today (12) at 9 am at the Parliament premises with the participation of representatives from various parties including the Consumer Affairs Authority to discuss the issues that have arisen regarding gas.
