Former President of the United States Donald J. Trump was injured and rushed to a hospital after he was shot at an election rally in Butler Pennsylvania. One of the attendees and the suspected shooter has died while two other spectators were critically injured the U’S Secret Service said in a statement a while ago.
US media reported that Trump was seen rushed by security officials with bleeding from his right ear. After the former President said in his social media post that he “shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”
The incident has been considered an assassination attempt and is being investigated by the relevant authorities.
The New York Times reported that he was just a few minutes into his speech when the incident took place.
Trump who is receiving treatments further posted on his social media accounts that he knew something was wrong in that heard a whizzing sound, and shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through his skin.
Many global leaders as well as his opponents including incumbent President Biden condemned the attack and wished for his speedy recovery.

 

This incident has raised concerns about safety at political events and the security of public figures. It has sparked discussions about how to ensure the safety of everyone at rallies and other gatherings.
