Fully vaccinated foreigners who are arriving to Sri Lanka from airports of ports may not need to subject for PCR tests further Dr.Dilhani Samarasekara, a specialist in the quarantine unit said. The decision will be in effect from today (01) she further said.
It is not mandatory for a person to have a PCR or antigen test if they have been infected with Covid 6 months before arriving in the country and have received only one dose of the vaccine, she said. s
Also, if a person has been infected with Covid for more than 6 months before arriving in the country and the person has received only one dose of the vaccine, such persons should undergo an antigen test 48 hours prior to arrival or 72 hours prior to arrival.
It is also mandatory to obtain the relevant tests from a recognized institution and submit reports, she further said.
