By Nathasha Nethmini

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the decision to cremate the bodies of those infected with the Covid 19 virus was based on expert reports.

The Ministry of Health urges all parties to refrain from publishing fake news  for political purposes as it distorts health policies.

The Ministry of Health states that the request was made due to the fact that some politicians and websites have been found to be spreading false propaganda regarding the burial or cremation of the bodies of people infected with the Covid 19 virus.
