Archbishop distances himself from BASL election after candidate uses old photographs in campaign

Issuing a letter on Tuesday (23) Rev. Freely Muthukudaarachchi, the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Colombo said the Archibishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith is concerned that an old photograph of his with a particular lawyer has been in circulation in connection with the ongoing BASL election.

The letter said that the Archbishop does not have any interest in such campaigns or concerns which are internal matters of such organizations.
