A protest was held on Tuesday (23) opposite the Presidential Secretariat demanding approval to bury individuals who die of COVID-19. Muslim men, women and children were seen holding placards asking for the mandatory cremations to stop and they allowed to bury their dead.
The protestors were joined by the controversial figure, the Secretary of Sri Lanka Thowheed Jamath (SLTJ)Abdul Razik, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mujibur Rahman and Ali Zahir Maulana.
