The people who protested against the cancellation of the train scheduled to leave for Colombo this morning have had to re-run due to strong objections to the station master.
A large number of people were waiting for the train from the early hours of this morning to participate in today’s protest in Colombo protesting against the President and the government and they have protested strongly against the cancellation of the train.
In view of this protest, the station master has departed the train from Kandy informing in writing that he will have to run this train due to the strong demand of his people.
However, the Railway Department has announced that after the lifting of the curfew, the trains will resume as usual.
