Some of the protesters who protested in front of the Colombo Fort President’s House have now entered the house. Sources say that they are walking from corner to corner and checking whether the President is there.
The people who came through Chatham Road arrived at the entrance of the President’s House this morning amid tear gas and water canon attacks, and they invaded the guard posts of the Presidential Palace one by one and entered into the situation. The Police and army were unable to prevent it.
At present, Western Province Senior DIG Deshbandu Tennakoon has ordered the high officials staying on the ground to immediately evacuate these people.
But internal sources say that there has been a level of disobeying their orders.
