With the increasing demand for kerosene due to domestic cooking gas crisis , the Energy Ministry is considering to introduce aviation fuel to the market instead, the Ministry said.
Since there is no change in the composition of kerosene and aviation fuel and there was no risk of using aviation fuel as a substitute for kerosene,Ministry Secretary K. D. R. Olga said.
According to her aviation fuel had been released to the market on several occasions earlier when the kerosene requirement could not meet the demand.
To convert aviation fuel to kerosene, all we have to do is add colour and odour, she added.
