Son of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress founder Late M.H.M Aharaff, Aman Asharaff says that neither he nor his mother is associated with the establishment of Asaraff Memorial Museum in the Eastern province.
commenting over the news circulated on the said museum proposal in his X account (formerly Twitter) further says that
if his father was alive, he would say: “Improve educational standards, address issues in agriculture/fisheries, provide access to expertise, and generate career opportunities in new markets for the youth of Digamadulla.”
On a request by Digamadulla District Member of Parliament HMM Haris and some members of the Muslim community President Wickremasinghe said that 25 million rupees would be allocated for this project and instructed the officials to start the relevant construction immediately.
