Sanga – Mahela did not form next level leaders!
Namal Rajapaksa fails miserably despite great power!

Former Minister Arjuna Ranatunga says that he is ready to give his life to lead the country if given a chance in the next presidential election. Arjuna Ranatunga says that many people do not want Arjuna Ranatunga to pick up cricket today due to the fear that an Imran Khan will be born in this country as well.
He further stated this in an interview with journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema’s Truth with Chamuditha channel yesterday.
“If cricket is handed over to me, it will change the status quo of cricket today. I said but they did not call me. The reason for this is that those people are afraid of the name Arjuna Ranatunga. That fear is not a sports fear but a political fear. The reason is the fear that Arjuna Ranatunga will one day become an Imran Khan. I have no such itch to be an Imran. I have a vision of doing the right thing. Now everyone is bored. In such a situation, there is no doubt that Imran should not be the one. I thought there were enough leaders who did not want to come. But today I understand that there are no leaders who care about the country. If I get a chance, I will give my neck to build the country.
Arjuna Ranatunga said that the cricket administration was the main reason for the deplorable situation in cricket in Sri Lanka today and that all those who were in the cricket administration after 2015 were responsible for it.
He further stated that the players of today are not playing for the country but with the aim of maintaining their personal records and that the introduction of responsible leaders did not take place after Sangakkara and Mahela and that they too are responsible for this decline.
He also said that although it has been almost a year since the appointment of the current Minister of Sports Namal Rajapaksa, he has not done anything important for the development of cricket.
“I also blame the minister. I hoped the Minister would do something big. Minister Namal fails on a large scale.
What did you do for a year? When I look at the COPE report, I was sweated. How can Namal Rajapaksa act without waiting for the officials according to the COPE report? Today Namal Rajapaksa has a lot of power. President is his uncle while Prime Minister is dad What else do you want. Today the cricket administration needs to change. Its constitution should be changed. According to the system that is in place today, no one else can come. Ask if Namal Rajapaksa can come. Neither Gotabhaya nor Mahinda Rajapaksa can come to the cricket administration for Namal Rajapaksa.
