Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Trincomalee district Parliamentarian M.S. Mr. Thawfeek o house in Kinniya has been attacked by angry people following the ferry tragedy .
The attack broke following the magistrate’s order for post mortem for the succumbed victims of the ferry capsize accident which occur this morning at Kinnya of Trincomalee. 06 including four school children while 07 remain still missing. Parents of the died kids have objected for conducting post mortem claiming there are clear evidences that deaths caused due to drowning reporters said. According to the reports the Parliamentarian is in Colombo to take part in parliament sessions.
Angry residents of the area who flocked to witnessed the tragedy, accused authorities to fail to repair the Kurunjankeni Bridge despite long-standing demand for repairs .
Police are controlling the unrest in Kinniya today.
