Kamal Addaraarchchi leaves NPP and joins with Wijeweera’s son

Veteran actor Kamal Addaraarachchi who supported Anura Kumara Dissanayake in the recent Presidential Election has signed an agreement with the Devana Parapura (second-generation) political movement led by Uvindu Wijeweera, the son of JVP founder Rohana Wijeweera, to contest upcoming general election.

Along with Kamal Addararachchi, several other parties are ready to contest Uvindu Wijeweera’s movement.

Kamal Addararachchi was involved in the presidential election in a politics that supported the National People’s Power.
Another Popular actor Ranjan Ramanayake also showed an interest in favor of National People’s Power. But now both are coming with two new political parties against

Commenting on this occasion, Kamal Addaraarachchi has said that he believes that Anura Kumara Dissanayake will get a majority of MPs in the Parliament, so he is contesting the general election to create a proper and strong opposition in the Parliament.
