Former President Maithripala Sirisena has agreed to support Dilith Jayaweera’s Sarva Jana Balaya Alliance.
Today (09), the former president announced that he directed his son to join Sarva Jana Balaya because he believes it is the best path forward. He added that he decided to support the party not only as a father but also because he feels that Sarva Jana Balaya has created a strong political approach.
Sirisena also stated that although the Sri Lanka Freedom Party is currently struggling in court and has broken into pieces, he believes it will eventually recover and become a successful political movement. However, for now, he plans to work with the power of the people.
