The police have received a complaint that a bundle of 5 million rupees has gone missing from the currency issue vault of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
An officer of the Currency Department of the Central Bank has complained to the Fort Police about this matter and investigations have started the police said.
It is said that only the officials of that department can enter the money issue vault. No one else can enter. In that situation, police sources state that an investigation will be conducted as to whether an employee of the same department is involved in this.
