A person who was hospitalized due to tear gas and water attack on the pprotest march of National Peoples Power which was held yesterday (26) has been died hospital sources said.
The deceased was Nimal Amarasiri, a candidate of the local government elections Nivithigala Pradeshiya Sabha, has died and he was 61 years old at the time of his death.
Around 20 people were injured by water and tear gas attacks on the protest rally organized by the National People’s power
The protest was held against the conspiracy to postpone the election and when the protestors marched towards TiwnHafrom Nelum Pokuna, the police fired water and tear gas at them.
