A man who went to stage a protest against President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in front of his private residence in Mirihana was electrocuted to death on a high voltage post. He has stepped up to in protest of blocking social media.
The man had climbed an electric post on Mirihana Edirisinghe Mawatha to protest and was electrocuted while attempting to protest.
The victim is Bope Ruwan Edirisinghe, a 53-year-old father of two, a resident of Mirihana Edirisinghe Mawatha.
The body is currently at the Kalubowila Hospital.
