Two persons have been hospitalized after a gang of thugs led by State Minister Sanath Nishantha’s brother Jagath Samantha has attacked three houses in Arachchi Kattuwa last evening (03).
The attack also damaged three houses and injured another person. Two of these three houses belong to JVP activists and one house belongs to the Samagi Jana Balawega political activist.
The Arachchikattuwa JVP Arachchikattuwa organizer and the organizer of the Samagi Janabalavega who organized a protest in Puttalam today have been hospitalized after being assaulted by the minister’s brother.
Police say that two special police teams have commenced investigations in search of the minister’s brother.
The man was remanded on a court order on charges of bulldozing part of the Anavilundawa Sanctuary for shrimp farming.
