A special group meeting of the ruling party parliamentarians has been convened tomorrow (22) under the chairmanship of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.According to the political sources attendance has been made compulsory for government ministers and MPs.
The meeting will be held at the Temple Trees with the participation of the President, Prime Minister and other government leaders. It is learnt that Governor of the Central Bank, the heads of the Ministry of Finance, the heads of the Electricity Board and the Petroleum Corporation also have been summoned to the meeting.
This special meeting has been convened in view of the shortage of fuel, gas, milk powder, pharmaceuticals, cement and the crisis situation in the country.
The sources said that a number of decisions will be taken regarding the issues that are being discussed at the meeting.
