A 06 year old girl drowns in swimming pool of a Passikudah hotel

A 6-year-old girl has drowned in the swimming pool of the Amaya Beach Hotel in Pasikudah.  The Police Media Spokesman’s Office stated that the accident took place yesterday (08) afternoon.

Police say that a girl residing in the area in Rambukwella of Alawathogoda area has died in this unfortunate manner. The girl and her family members were spending time at the Amaya Hotel in Pasikudah when the accident happened.

The girl had drowned while bathing in the swimming pool and died after being admitted to the Valachchenai hospital in a critical condition.

The body has been placed at the Valachchenai Hospital and is being investigated by the Kalkudah Police, the police spokesman said.
